TORONTO, CANADA – December 12, 2016 – Bristow Global Media Inc. (BGM), a leading global content creation company, is pleased to announce inaugural members to a newly created Board of Advisors: Margaret O’Brien, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at Entertainment One (eOne) and Joanna Griffiths, Founder and CEO of Knix Wear, with more announcements to follow.

BGM’s newly-appointed advisors are successful leaders with experience in building world-class businesses and expertise in global expansion. O’Brien is a seasoned veteran in content creation and the corporate development space and Griffiths is an entrepreneur who built a global business in three short years, with a record Kickstarter campaign.

The company also announced the appointment of Kara Russell to Director, Business and Legal Affairs. Russell brings more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, in both the public and private sectors, specializing in entertainment law and business affairs.

This announcement is part of BGM’s strategy to create content for the global marketplace and falls on the heels of the recent appointment of Megan Sanchez-Warner to Executive Producer, who is based in New York.



Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Entertainment One (eOne)

Known for her expertise in global strategic corporate development, Margaret O’Brien’s leads independent studio eOne’s worldwide corporate development activities across film, television, music and digital. O’Brien has orchestrated a series of major growth initiatives, corporate acquisitions and key transactions across all areas of the business including: securing an equity stake in Sierra Pictures and establishing a joint venture studio with The Mark Gordon Company. Most recently, O’Brien led eOne’s acquisition of leading interactive content studio Secret Location, brokered the acquisition of a controlling interest in award-winning US reality television production company Renegade 83, and closed two separate deals for eOne Music with leading independent record labels, acquiring Last Gang Records in March 2016 and Nashville-based Dualtone Music Group in January 2016.
